Intense aromas of gooseberries, fresh lemon and pineapple intermingled with a hint of musk, fresh peas and meadow hay provide an indication of the freshness of the wine. The palate is crisp and clean, full of freshly cut pineapple, lemon grass with a nice racy acid keeping the finish crisp and dry. The blend of 65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Semillon reflects the growing popularity of Sauvignon Blanc as the dominant variety. This blend ratio adds to the already well established reputation of Churchview as a significant producer of one Margaret River’s favourite wines.

Enjoy with fresh seafood.

CHURCHVIEW 2009 Unwooded Chardonnay» 3 x CHURCHVIEW 2009 Unwooded Chardonnay

Intensity of aroma and intensity of flavour is what describes this wine. Aromas of white peaches, nectarines, orange blossom, citrus and ripe melons fill the glass. The palate has a wonderful fruit richness driven by the abundance of ripe fruits, whilst still showing finesse and drive due to the fine natural acidity. This is a wine that displays layers of ripe fruits, lovely crisp acidity and a long dry finish. An excellent example of Margaret River Unwooded Chardonnay.

Enjoy with smoked salmon placed on mascarpone cheese.

CHURCHVIEW 2007 Cabernet Merlot» 2 x CHURCHVIEW 2007 Cabernet Merlot

Churchview Estate’s 2007 Cabernet Merlot is a classic example of a Margaret River Cabernet from a great vintage. The initial aroma is the cedar, black current, black olive character of the cabernet sauvignon, with a background of mulberries and fleshy berry fruits from the Merlot. The oak is soft on the nose, providing dusty and toasty complexity. The firm tannins of the Cabernet have been softened out on the palate by the blending with merlot. This is a wine with lovely depth of flavour and a long finish.

Enjoy with roast lamb. Drink now till 2016.

CHURCHVIEW 2007 Cabernet SAUVIGNON» 2 x CHURCHVIEW 2007 Cabernet SAUVIGNON

Cabernet Sauvignon from a wonderful vintage produces aromas of blackcurrents, plums, chocolate, hints of eucalyptus and integrated vanillan oak. The many layers of this aroma reveal themselves after careful decanting. The palate is rich and intense with dark fruits, mocha and integrated oak carrying the wine. The finish is long and persistent with firm tannins and fine acidity. This is a serious Cabernet which will cellar for many years.

Enjoy with seared venison on kumara mash.

CHURCHVIEW 2007 shiraz» 2 x CHURCHVIEW 2007 shiraz

Margaret River is fast developing widespread attention for creating very elegant and quite exciting shiraz. Typically rich and elegant, Churchview Estate’s Shiraz are gaining a reputation of being first class. The 2007 has intense aromas of dark blackcurrants, ripe plums, chocolate, coconuts, white pepper, bay leaf and other eastern spices. The clever use of French and American oak compliments the fruit aroma of this wine by providing some smoky overtones and cedar nuances. The palate is full of ripe fruit, yet still exists as an elegant style of wine.

Enjoy with wattle and spice coated lamb served with creamy julienne potatoes.
