Churchview Estate “the Bartondale” range
represents the finest parcels of estate grown
fruit, carefully selected to create the finest wine
each vintage.
The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon was fermented on
skins to develop the lovely dark colour and fine
tannins, and then matured in top quality French
Oak barrels. Only the finest barrels were selected
for bottling.
TASTING NOTES
The wine is a plethora of aromas including fully
ripe dark fruits of black berries , plums and dark
cherries, tobacco and dark chocolate. The French
oak adds a fine smoky, vanilla and mocha aroma
which adds complexity and body. The palate has
layers of flavours with ripe dark fruits in the mid
palate and fine tannins and acid adding structure.
This is a serious Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon
which demands respect. Careful cellaring for the
long term will allow this wine to fully express itself,
however immediate drinking can’t be avoided as
the wine has perfect balance and poise.

Churchview Estate “the Bartondale” range represents
the finest parcels of estate grown fruit, carefully
selected to create the finest wine each vintage.
The 2007 Shiraz was co-fermented on skins
with a small portion of viognier to develop the
lovely dark colour and fine tannins and lifted
aromatics, and then matured in top quality French
and Hungarian Oak barrels. Only the finest barrels
were selected for bottling.
TASTING NOTES
Black ink in colour gives an insight to the depth and
richness of the wine. Lifted aromas of blackcurrants,
aniseed, eastern spices and lightly toasted oak with
subtle bay leaf and cigar box characters highlight
your senses. Ripe blackcurrants lead the assault on
your palate followed by integrated liquorice and
soft spice, with firm tannins providing finish and
structure. The persistence of the assault is long, to
remind you of the depth of flavour of this wine.
Careful cellaring for the long term will allow this
wine to fully express itself, however immediate
drinking can’t be avoided as the wine has perfect
balance and poise.
